NEW CONTERRA AG CAPITAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGER HAS DEEP ROOTS IN CENTRAL VALLEY AGRICULTURE.
DES MOINES, Iowa, June 1, 2019 — Conterra Ag Capital has added a new team member who will expand the company’s services for producers in a key geography in the western U.S.
Central Valley native Jerred Davis of Visalia, California, has joined the Conterra Ag team as a relationship manager. The California Polytechnic State University graduate grew up on a crop and dairy farm operation, and he spent much of his upbringing working on dairy farms until his college graduation. After graduation, he began his financial career as a credit portfolio consultant for Wells Fargo. Davis brings experience in credit and asset analysis and management — including credit underwriting, loan structuring and appraisal work — as well as a strong understanding of agriculture to his new role with Conterra Ag.
In addition to his financial experience, Davis’ strength in the ag sector is rooted in his upbringing, which has translated to his ability to relate well to his agricultural customers. He is able not only offer sound financial counsel but also relate directly during farm site visits, collateral appraisals and crop inspections, a valuable combination for Conterra Ag.
“I have had the opportunity to work with agricultural customers throughout the western United States,” said Davis, who has managed dairy, livestock and crop portfolios from Texas to Washington state. “While dairy has been my strong suit, I have become very comfortable with permanent crops, row crops and many specialty crops.”
Davis’ unique combination of financial and direct agricultural experience will help Conterra Ag strengthen its position as a leader in agricultural lending and finance in the Central Valley, one of the most agriculture-rich parts of the country.
